THE INCREASE IN THE ACTIVITIES OF BEGGARS AND SOCIAL MISFIT
Begging means the state at which an individual lives sorely on what he gets from asking for money, food or either materials things from people.
Social misfits in could be referred to as people who the society rejects. This is situation whereby a group of people reject some one due to his inability to meet up the demand of life as required by that group.
Begging has become one among the problems or barriers facing Nigeria. Individuals whom have acquired knowledge, have automatically become street beggars due to inadequate manufacturing institutions to practicalized what they have spent their precious time, money and energy to acquire.
The government has made many qualified graduates’ future to become hopeless and are begging from one door to the other, while others engage into thuggery and social vices. Many individuals are roaming round the country in search of jobs but seem to no avail. And this in turn leads to individuals whom are capable and ready to work but go into robbery and corrupting the nation at large.
This act has made most people loose their respect which makes them worthless in sight of their follow men.
Furthermore, social misfits have contributed a lot galloping of Begging. Discrimination has made a lot of people to conceive the idea of begging to meet up with the rest of their friends or groups.
Moreso, if the government can provide adequate manufacturing companies with liable imputes and implements and individuals put off the shame and embark into Agricultural practice and sell the produce surely, poverty, begging and social misfit will be eliminated.

Confusion: as BSU Releases 2010/2011 Admission List
The Benue State University, Makurdi has released the admission list for the 2010/2011 academic year. Candidates who applied for admission into the university have since been checking their names. In what is seen as sweeping changes introduced by the new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charity Anya, candidates could only access their admission status after the purchase of a PIN from the bank.
Expectedly, crowds of anxious candidates gathered at the Makurdi branches of the five banks to purchase the pin which went for 400 naira. At one of the banks, Union Bank, candidates complained that the process was very slow. A candidate who would not give his name complained. “I spent two days just to collect this PIN now, they made a mistake on my JAMB registration number and the website rejected me. I have complained but they told me to wait outside. I was even told to make fresh payment but even that one is not easy. Look at the line,” he said waving a pink colored teller which was weak and wet under the Makurdi heat.
when the exercise commenced, the police at the bank had to come on to help control the candidates who pushed, kicked and struggled to get to the counter. It was not an easy assignment as they virtually had to use branches of a nearby flower to keep the crowd in line. Meanwhile, at the internet centres, candidates went away rejoicing or mournful depending on whether they succeeded in securing admission or not.
Another candidate complained that the cost of the process was too high. “When we sat for the post-UTME we were asked to pay 5000 naira. They said 4000 naira was processing fee but we have been doing the processing all by ourselves, he said. Candidates who succeeded in  getting the admission were expected to pay a no-refundable processing fee of 5,500 naira at Zenith or First Banks and obtain another PIN. They were then to log into the university portal and update personal data form as well as other students related functions on the portal on-line. Candidates are advised to print and take along to their respective Faculties  the receipt generated by the portal to enable them collect Admission letters on or before 28th February, a statement from the University Website said. Of the University’s site. As it stands, the long queues witnessed at the banks are likely to continue for weeks. And the banks as well as other businesses will make more money.
